A Note From Kayla

I am a Registered Psychologist. I understand that physical and mental health concerns can impact life in various ways. My belief is that we are not meant to walk this journey alone and that, at times, we need someone to walk the journey with us. My approach is to provide a non-judgmental space for people to find the root cause of their presenting concerns, while providing practical tools that can be applied immediately towards the change people would like to see in themselves.

I am trained in Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I also practice from the perspective of Trauma-Informed Care. I enjoy working with people of all faiths, and cultural backgrounds, including individual adults, couples, older adults, and people who are a part of the LGBTQ2S+ community.

During my 17+ years working in healthcare, I have developed a passion for supporting people who have experienced complex trauma and grief, including end of life. I was an occupational therapist and a yoga instructor before a therapist, and can offer a wholistic view. Outside of work, I travel, hike, cycle and spend time with my two dogs.
