CBT-Based Group for Kids

Back by popular demand! This weekly psychoeducational and activity-based group supported children ages 8–12 who experience anxiety, low mood, stress, or big emotions. Led by Madison Duncan along with our student interns this group is aimed at children to help build coping skills, challenge negative self-talk, practice mindfulness, and strengthen emotional resilience in a fun and supportive setting.

Exploring Body Trust® and Divesting from Diet Culture

“Body Trust® is an alternative dialogue to the conventional paradigm of food, body image, and weight concerns in our culture” (Center for Body Trust, 2023).

This group is designed for adults who want to explore their unique body story, the foundations of Body Trust, and the practice of embodiment within an 8-week group therapy program. The cost for the program is $400 for all 8 weeks. All bodies welcome!

The Self-Love Therapy Club

Growing up can be exciting—but also challenging! This 6-week program ($110 per session, $660 total) provides a fun, supportive space for girls ages 8–12 to connect, build confidence, and boost self-esteem. Through teamwork, discussions, creative activities, and games, participants will explore common challenges like bullying, peer pressure, social media, body changes, and self-doubt.

Between Us: An Interactive Talk on The Psychology of Sexual Desire & Orgasms

Join Summit Counselling Service’s Sarah Mittelsteadt as she explores the psychology behind sexual desire and challenges with achieving orgasm, helping participants understand how mental health can directly influence emotional and physical intimacy. She will also provide guidance on addressing differences in sexual desire or libido between partners, offering practical insights to strengthen connection and communication. Beauty Professional Mental Health Workshop

Beauty professionals often hold a unique position of trust, as clients may share deeply personal or traumatic experiences during appointments. This trauma-informed workshop for estheticians, hairstylists, and salon professionals is designed to help you respond with empathy, professionalism, and emotional intelligence, while maintaining your own wellbeing and boundaries. Learn practical strategies for handling sensitive client disclosures and creating a safe, supportive environment in your beauty practice.

Alphabet Soup

Alphabet Soup was an 8-week support group for 2SLGBTQIA+ youth ages 14–17, offering a safe, inclusive space to explore identity, build connection, and develop practical coping and self-care skills. Facilitated by Blair and Maddy, the group focused on resilience, healthy relationships, and self-compassion.
