A Note from Tanielle
As a therapist, I believe that you have a unique, multistoried life. I am honoured to be a part of that story if you choose me to be, and my goal is to help you grow into the best version of yourself and create lasting change. I will be there to support you, challenge you when needed, and create a safe space where you can explore and heal in a way that feels right for you. Building a strong therapeutic bond is key to our work together, and I strive to create a warm, open, and supportive environment free of judgment to people from all walks of life. I believe in the healing power of humour and laughter, and I will incorporate these elements into the therapeutic space when appropriate. I practice from a person-centered approach, ensuring that you are at the heart of our work together. Additionally, I work from a strengths-based, attachment lens, which means I focus on your strengths and ability to form healthy connections with yourself and others. I look forward to collaborating with you as we work together to unlock your potential and help you become the best version of yourself!
I am currently in my final year of the Master of Counselling Psychology program at Yorkville University. In addition to this, I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Applied Psychology from the Concordia University of Edmonton. During my undergrad, I had the opportunity to complete my field placement here at Summit and knew it would be the right fit for my internship placement. I have administrative experience in a private practice setting as well as working with and supporting children and teenagers within the Edmonton Catholic School system.
In my spare time, I love to be active by playing sports, going for a walk outside, or joining a workout class at the gym! I also enjoy spending quality time with my friends/ family and my cat Holly.
