A Note from Laura

My Approach to Therapy

Welcome! In my office there is space for both laughter and tears! I am Laura, a registered psychologist serving individuals, couples, and adolescents throughout Alberta. I am passionate about helping individuals navigate complex interpersonal relationships, racial identity issues, trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, insomnia, and life transitions. I had the privilege of pursuing part of my studies in South America, specifically in Colombia and Brazil, where I gained a deep appreciation for cultural nuances and their impact on individuals.

My therapeutic approach is a blend of proven methods, incorporating Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems informed (IFS), and Attachment-based approaches. In the course of our work together, we might talk about the difficulties you've faced in the past, in the present, and in the future in order to get a better sense of what's going on in your life. My style is grounded in evidence-based research, curiosity, and compassion so that my clients feel empowered to live healthier and more fulfilled lives.

"These mountains that you are carrying, you were only supposed to climb."

Una Nota de Laura

¡Bienvenidos!
