A Note from Daniela

My Approach to Therapy

Welcome! I'm Daniela, a Canadian Certified Counsellor working with individuals, couples, and adolescents. We are often left to navigate the complexities of life and relationships largely on our own. You don't have to be in crisis to benefit — if you have a worry, you have a reason to reach out.

My work is primarily informed by Narrative Therapy, alongside attachment-based approaches, Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I also believe the body belongs in conversations about mental health, just as much as our relationships, culture, and the communities we live within.

Perinatal mental health is an area especially close to my heart, and I support people from the early stages of family planning through pregnancy, postpartum, and well beyond the first year of a child's life. As you move between providers — often many of them — care can begin to feel fragmented. Therapy can offer continuity through a space where the biological, emotional, and relational realities of this transition are already understood, and where there is time to make sense of how they intersect. Together, we can connect you with additional care when needed and make space for your own wellbeing as you navigate changing relationships, parenting decisions, and an expanded sense of self. Therapy can be one place where the question remains: how are you doing?

"Have patience with everything unresolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves…"

Una Nota de Daniela

¡Bienvenidos!

— Antonio Machado
