My Approach to Therapy
I am a registered social worker in Alberta, practicing in the Edmonton area. I have been employed as a social worker for over twenty years. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Alberta in 1996 and a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Calgary in 1999. In 2020, I completed the Master of Social Work program through Wilfrid Laurier University. I am registered with the Alberta College of Social Workers and am a member in good standing.
My passion is working with new parents struggling with the transition to parenthood and those struggling with postpartum concerns. I am certified in Maternal Mental Health and have also completed the Advanced Perinatal Mental Health Psychotherapy Training. I am also trained in Somatic Experiencing and believe strongly in an eclectic and holistic approach to therapy — one that best fits each client.
My areas of special interest and expertise include depression, anxiety, postpartum mood disorders, grief and loss, relationships, and adjustment to new or stressful life circumstances. My goal is to work collaboratively with clients in order to support individuals and couples in achieving goals they have set for themselves using a client-centered approach.

We acknowledge that our practice is located in Treaty 6 territory, on the traditional lands of the Cree, Saulteaux, Niitsitapi (Blackfoot), Métis, and Nakota Sioux Peoples.
