Solution Focused Therapy
What Is Solution Focused Therapy?
Solution focused therapy (SFT) views problems and conflicts as expected and a normal part of life. SFT believes everyone is resilient and strong - capable of finding the solutions they require. SFT doesn’t look at the cause of the problem or the past. SFT focuses on the present and future, strongly emphasizing problem-solving. In SFT, psychologists support you in uncovering what is working and strengthen it and look at what isn’t working and help you find alternatives.
What Can Solution Focus Therapy Help With?
In general, SFT can be helpful in finding solutions to present-day problems and help manage stress in times of crisis.
