The Self-Discovery Squad

Group FAQs

  • This group will be held at our St. Albert Office, located at Unit 203, 1 Tache St. Simply take the elevator to the second floor, and we’re the first door on your left. We look forward to seeing you there!

  • Coverage for group psychological services depends on your individual insurance plan. The group is facilitated by a licensed practitioner, and her license number will be included on your invoice at the time of service.

We strongly recommend that you contact your insurance provider in advance to confirm whether group psychological services are covered under your plan.

If your insurance allows direct billing, we would be happy to run a predetermination to check coverage and submit the claim at the time of your session. If direct billing is not an option, you will need to pay for the session out of pocket and submit the receipt to your provider for reimbursement.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out—we’re happy to help!

  • The group will be facilitated by clinician Daniella Besirovic

To ensure a supportive and effective environment, the group is limited to a maximum of 8 children. If a child is feeling anxious during the first session, parents may attend for part or all of it to provide support. However, after the first session, the expectation is that children will participate without parent involvement.

  • Girls ages 7–10 who are looking to explore emotions, build resilience, and learn coping skills through a fantasy world inspired by K-pop Demon Hunter’s. Think therapy meets magical girl squad meets pop idol training camp.

Each girl will be recruited into the “Self-discovery Squad”, a secret K-pop-inspired idol group who secretly battles “emotional demons” using music, art and teamwork. Through weekly “Idol training”, they gain emotional tools, build confidence and develop social skills to battle feelings of fear, self-doubt, peer pressure, anger, sadness, and shame.
